LPZ/476/2022/NUC was a case initiated by the Administrator of Haciendas Palo Verde alleging 4 property owners had assaulted and threatened her.
The prosecutors office was not working to conclude case LPZ/476/2022/NUC in a timely manner. Something that is not unusuall in the Mexican Justice system. The Remedy is to appeal to a federal court and ask for a court order to the prosecutors office to complete their work.
This request was granted by the federal court and in the following there was a back and forth between the federal court and the prosecutors office to get the work completed.
One of the last items the prosecutor claimed was the needed translation of english websites, the administrator had submitted as evidence. On these websites were allegations that the family of one property owner at one point was acquainted with the family of the actor Tom Cruise. Totally irrelevant for the case, but the Administrator had submitted it.
When all the work was finally completed the prosecutors office reported the investigation and the case as closed and the election of a non-exercise of the case.
The non-exercise of criminal action means that the reported act was not committed, that it does not constitute a crime or the innocence of the accused (reported person) is proven.
That is a long explanation for a simple fact.
The Administrator made false accusations against 4 property owners and an objective neutral investigation found no evidence to substantiate her claims. The accused are found innocent.
Interestingly, the Administrator had widely publicized her allegations which are now proven baseless.
The falsly accused are currently weighing their legal options to be compensated for damages due to false accusations and probable defamation.
